What it does

The intake feeds the engine the air it turns into power. A restrictive or heat-soaked factory box costs airflow exactly when the engine needs it; a proper intake pulls cooler air through a larger filter with fewer bends. On a turbo engine the intake and elbow also decide how easily the compressor can draw.
