What it does

The turbine housing routes exhaust gas across the turbine wheel and its A/R ratio sets how quickly the turbo spools against how much it flows up top. A cracked housing leaks drive pressure and heat; a different A/R changes the whole character of the turbo. Replacing it restores a sealed, correctly sized exhaust side.
