What it does

The cartridge is the rotating heart of the turbo: shaft, wheels and bearings in one balanced assembly. Shaft play, oil leakage past the seals or a bearing failure all live here, and all of them end with the turbo eating itself. A new balanced cartridge restores the turbo without replacing the housings you already have.
