Stage 2 Differential Cover Yukon Gear & Axle YGK012STG2

$979.29

Yukon Gear & Axle differential cover — Stage 2. This is a build component selected by SPECIFICATION rather than by a single vehicle application: match the frame size, flange, wheel size and A/R to your build. If you are not certain what your build needs, ask a tech before ordering.

What it does

A heavy differential cover adds oil capacity and gets heat out of the gear oil, which is what kills a differential under sustained towing. Finned or girdled covers also brace the bearing caps so the gears stay in mesh under load. It is cheap insurance on a truck that works.

How to choose

  • Match the cover to your axle model and ring gear diameter
  • Confirm the bolt count and pattern match your housing
  • Check whether the cover uses a gasket or sealant and what hardware it comes with
  • Check the part number against the component you are replacing

Fixes

  • gear oil running hot under tow
  • a weeping or dented factory stamped cover
  • a regear or rebuild worth protecting
  • added capacity wanted for heavy loads

What's included

  • the cover with its gasket or sealant and hardware as listed
