What it does

The valve cover seals the top of the head and carries the crankcase ventilation and, on some engines, the coil packs and glow plug harness. Warped or cracked covers leak oil onto the exhaust; on the 6.0 Power Stroke the harness inside them is a known failure point. A new cover restores the seal and the wiring it carries.
